Course Description
The Auburn Mile is the only race in the region where you run the full July 4th parade route — with thousands of spectators cheering you every step of the way!
Start — Lincoln Way
The gun goes off in the heart of Downtown Auburn, right outside Auburn Running Company. Lincoln Way is electric — parade crowds already lining the sidewalks, cheering from the jump.
The Square
A left onto High Street and runners pour through Auburn's historic downtown square — one of the best stretches of the entire course. The energy is loud, the buildings are old-gold beautiful, and you're running where the parade runs.
School Park Preserve & Placer High
High Street carries you south through the School Park Preserve and past Placer High School — a shaded, scenic corridor that's a welcome breath before the turnaround.
Turnaround — Gold Country Fairgrounds
At the entrance of the Gold Country Fairgrounds, runners flip 180° and head back north. Second wind time — the finish line is waiting.
Finish — Cherry & High Street
Back through the square to the intersection of Cherry and High Street — cheered in by the same parade crowd the whole way home. There's no better finish line in Placer County.
