Q & A
Dogs may not participate in the race unless they are a trained service animal. All dogs must be kept on a leash and owners are responsible for following all City of Auburn rules and regulations regarding dogs, as the event takes place in downtown Auburn.
For the Auburn Mile (1-mile run), the start location is at the Auburn Running Company on 833 Lincoln Way (map). The finish is at the downtown square at the intersections of High Street and Cherry Street (map).
For the Auburn Mini-Mile Kids Fun Run, both the start and finish will be at the downtown square which is at the intersection of High Street and Cherry Street (map).
Yes. To keep the event on schedule and allow the road to reopen for the parade, participants are asked to complete the mile within 22 minutes. The parade will begin at 10:00 AM which would give anyone on the course plenty of time to arrive at the finish area. However, anyone still on course after 22 minutes from the start may be directed by volunteers to finish outside the chute, and may not receive an official time or post-race refreshments.
Please also note that near the finish, slower participants, or late starters, may be asked to briefly yield to faster finishers to keep the chute clear — our volunteers will guide you through.
It depends. If there is space available the day of the race, we will accept race-day registrations. If not, we cannot accept race-day registrations.
Everyone registered by June 1, 2026 is guaranteed a shirt. After that date, we'll do our best but can't promise availability.
As for medals — the Auburn Mile is intentionally kept affordable as a community event, so we're keeping it simple this year. No medals in 2026, but it's something we'd love to add as the race grows. We're always looking for sponsors to help make things, like medals, possible while keeping registration costs low — if you would like to be a sponsor, reach out!
